PART I: This intense skill enhancing workshop surveys the role of the first
Assistant director. Topics include script breakdown, color-coding, breakdown
pages, production strip boards. Scheduling the movie and the production
paper work as it relates to the multiple departments that make up a film
crew.
PART II: It's an introduction to Movie Magic scheduling, the industry's
most popular and widely used production management software. Through demonstrations,
and practical exercises students actually perform the task of breaking
down a short feature subject script.
PART III: Participants will learn how to run a set the professional way
from call time to wrap. The DGA, SAG and Union rules versus non-union
rules are also discussed.
