An Amazing Opportunity for
Short Feature Screenwriters
We
need scripts for our Shoot Camp™ USA production! We
invite submissions from professionals and non-professionals alike. All
scripts will be carefully considered, and those selected will be produced.
Selected
scripts will be produced by:
THE
CHALLENGE:
- Run
time between 7 - 12 minutes (estimate one minute per page)
- One
main location (example: Interior - warehouse) and one sub location
(example: Exterior -waterfront)
- Write
for at least one actor, do not go beyond four (no animals)
- Live
action (no computer generated effects)
- Twist,
surprise or some kind of catch
- No exploding
buildings, crashing jetliners or rush hour car chases...etc
THE
BENEFITS:
- Opportunity
to actively participate in the production of the project (Shoot Camp™
USA fee waived)
- A copy
of the completed project on DVD and VHS
- Full
screen credit on the project
- "Screenplay
by" credit in any promotion, artwork or publicity of the work
- Entry
of the film into the 3 major US film festivals
- Producer's
letter suitable for attachment to resume
- Potential
transfer of the DV to 16mm or 35mm film for festival release
- FMC's
automatic entry of a qualifying film for consideration as "Best Live
Short Feature" at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
- Our
actors belong to SAG (Screen Actors Guild), so the film will be professionally
acted and will be designated as a SAG (Limited Exhibition) Production.
THE
PRODUCTION:
Our selected students participating in SHOOT CAMPŠ USA are
aspiring producers and directors working together with a common goal,
to bring the selected script to the screen, faithfully translating the
writer's ideas in a creative collaboration.
Production
will be supervised by experienced professionals, and we are confident
that the energy and focus that our students will result in a extraordinary
project.
YOUR
PRIVACY:
Your script will be kept secure, and will not be distributed
in any form to any outside party. FMC's standard release
form is for the legal protection of FMC and the industry professionals
who work with us in evaluating and selecting submissions.
PLEASE
NOTE :
Due to the extremely high volume of submissions
a $25.00 processing fee per entry is required. This fee is applied
to the cost of professional evaluations that will allow us to select those
scripts that eligible for production.
